Spring Weight Loss Challenge
Many women are in the midst of creating a spring weight loss challenge as the seasons change. Me too. Before you jump back to Weight Watchers or try a new cleanse or detox, I really want to share this with you. This perspective may go a long way getting you towards your goals. This is a big deal.
First, think about the weight that you are carrying.
What if you thought about this weight as representing relationships, losses, grudges, resentments, disappointments or anything from the past that you were carrying.
Whatever you’re still holding onto. Whatever is taking up space. You might even be forming a list in your mind as you read…that’s good but you’ll need more.
How much attention do you give unresolved pieces of your past? If you’re like most people you’re still holding onto a fair amount of history.
The parts of our story, the things that still have a “charge” to them when you remember them…it’s all weight. It’s heavy energy that keeps you focused in the past. They’re anchors that keep your attention and energy stuck.
It’s emotional energy that becomes physical matter.
If you want to lose weight, and keep it off, it takes some real releasing.
Releasing who was wrong and who was right.
Releasing who said what to whom.
Releasing the wish that things had happened differently.
Release from the beliefs that keep you in chains.
Release from the shame, the grief, the resentments, the sorrow.
Release even from the ideas of what you thought your life would (should) look like.
You’ll have to literally pull up your anchors.
You’ll focus on what’s here now. Loving what is, loving who’s here with you. Detaching from the noise of the past and where you got hurt.
You’ll have to crave the experience of feeling freer, lighter, able to move unencumbered by the ghosts of the past. You’ll have to want the feeling of relief, of ease, of being able to see clearly what’s here now. You’ll have to be willing to see differently, yourself and others. Through eyes of clarity, of compassion, the lens of your heart and Divine Mind.
This isn’t for the faint of heart, but that’s probably not you anyways.
This is the most powerful, beautiful and courageous kind of weight loss I know of. As you release your attachments to the past, your body will become lighter. Eating normalizes. Your thoughts toward yourself and others become more loving.
I invite you to notice right this minute what’s happening in your body as you imagine your own possible outcomes. Does it feel fluttery, excited, like a big “yes”, or more like the still small voice of your guidance that nods “yes”.
Sssshhh- listen.
I would love to support you at this juncture. When you know you want to create that kind of movement, momentum, fresh breeze. We begin with the Opening The Door Session. I’ll help you see where the weight is, where the anchors are (you probably know best what’s stuck in your craw) and I’ll show you how to move them in ways that will feel beautiful and sacred (and powerful). Want to?!
Go here and I’ll send you a few questions that create room for openings and we’ll schedule our meeting. Read more here.
With so much love,
