Wearing Colorful Lipstick: BFF Nicole and I always joke that we feel like clueless 11 year olds dressing up with mom’s makeup when we try to wear “real” lipstick (i.e. not lip balm). On Saturday, while we were at the mall, and she took me into Sephora to get color matched for an ideal lip color. I was matched with this purple-pink color and I LOVE IT! It is so fun to wear bright lipstick! Also, at only $13 a tube, I

Is Pedialyte Truly the Miracle Hangover Cure People Say It Is?
It was the early morning hours of July 5, and after a day of drinking and greasy food, Patricia Ochoa was sufficiently hungover. She had all of the classic symptoms: dry mouth, headache, exhaustion, and an upset stomach. Then, her brother appeared at her bedroom door like the hangover tooth fairy with a bottle of grape Pedialyte. She tore off the “kid-approved taste” sticker on the cap and started gulping it down. Yes, Ochoa was using an over-the-counter remedy intended for dehydrated children (think: bad bouts of diarrhea) as a hangover cure. And the crazy thing is it worked. After drinking half the bottle, her headache and nausea disappeared. Ochoa isn’t alone in using Pedialyte as her hangover hack. Adults make up a third of

4 Traps to Avoid When You’re Filled With Anxiety
When we’re slipping on anxiety’s slopes, it’s usually not pretty. We rant. We rave. We make blanket statements on the condition of our lives. When under pressure, inaccurate self-judgments are likely to creep in. We forget to factor in that we’re overworked, tired or just plain depleted. 4 lessons weight training taught me about life.
Resistance training, for me, is bigger than something I do to stay fit as I age. It’s taught me more about life in general than anything else I’ve done and, paradoxically, helps me remain laser-focused on whats important to me outside fitness. I advocate resistance training for health, but am a resistance training evangelist because of what Ive learned from it about living fully. 1. If you wait for the perfect facility opportunity you’ll always find an excuse not to start. Ive trained in less than ideal conditions. Central American gyms stocked with rusty dumbbells. Whole Food Protein Bars + a Giveaway
Grass-fed meats on the go with EPIC whole food, ancestral inspired protein bars. (AND! Sugar-free varieties for us sugar-free, keto folk.) We traveled to Montana last year for my 28th birthday. On our way home, we made a stop for road trip snacks at the local health food store and that’s where I feasted on my first EPIC bar, right there in the store. I was hooked, finally a protein bar that was ACTUAL protein. A year later; and oodles of trips to Montana to pick up more bars, I got to meet the EPIC team in real life at Expo West! And Kelly from Spunky Coconut was with me. They’re a lively bunch, dedicated to their craft, passionate about sound nutrition, whole
